This week it was Myer’s turn to wow us and they certainly did, with fun cotton candy hair and gorgeous celebrities Jen Hawkins, Kris Smith, Kate Peck and Nicole Trunfio gracing the runway.
Jen Hawkins opened the show with a divine Alex Perry sorbet midi dress, that I’m sure will be high demand this season. A fabulous mix of lace, colour and sequins hit the mark, which formed what was a spectacular debut for Perry at Myer.. I want one of everything!
Yeojin Bae and By Johnny caught my eye next, both making great use of colour blocking, cut away details and slim silhouettes. Fresh, young and fabulous! These will be hits in the birdcage.
It was the men’s turn to hit the runway next. The very handsome Kris Smith headed up the menswear, showcasing what we can expect from the men at the track. Blue, beige and light grey are still in this season, with a big trend emerging – large window pale checks. I absolutely love this look! With amazing collections from Dom Bagnoto and MJ Bale, your men are definitely set for the carnival.
Closing the show, was an amazing showcase of all white, my favourite! Maticevski shone bright, with my favourite outfit of the night – a voluminous white midi dress, seen also on Maddy King – Kris Smith’s partner on the red carpet.
This was definitely one of my favourite shows from Myer.
Here are my picks of the season. I know I’ll be heading straight to the shops!
