  • Your creative edge

I enjoy designing and making many of my own outfits, but I enjoy even more the thrill of finding that bargain dress or skirt that I can enhance with some creative DIY. I never feel bad attacking these pieces as I didn’t pay an arm and a leg for them.

I try to come up with a concept that is a little more unique and will stand out in the crowd. There is nothing worse than rocking up to a racecourse, feeling amazing and finding someone else wearing your exact same outfit. Your heart sinks.

To eliminate this stress, consider adding a detailed collar, attach an embellished necklace or broach, add a cape or even get your needle and thread out and start beading! Even inexperienced sewers can create something unique.

I do advise, avoiding the hot glue gun though, in the warmer months you might find things melting off you! A few stitches will last you a life time.

Many fashionable race goers are embracing their creative side. Here are some ideas from other fashionable fillies.
