The sun was finally shining in Melbourne and what better way to spend a Saturday than a day at the races. After missing most of Winter carnival, my friends Jill Humphries, Bree Laughlin and I all dressed up and headed to Caulfield Racecourse for lunch in the Members Dining room.

This Winter I am loving dark florals, metallics and lacing and I was lucky to find this great dress on ASOS quite some time back, which executed all trends beautifully.  Metallic detailing is a favourite of mine at the moment, especially when it’s a subtle hint.
Metallics can be hard to translate into racewear but we will see a lot of this trend during Spring Carnival… I know I’ll be trying to work it into a look.

With the champagne flowing, great racing and the glorious weather, we all got excited for the upcoming Spring Carnival. Spring racing is just around the corner, we all better start planning now!
