My current fashion fixation is the Culotte. Not quite a skirt, not quite a pant – this fabulous floaty form is chic, a little bit sexy mixed with a hint of androgyny and my favourite look for this season.

It seems designers are having a similar love affair with culottes at the moment, with Balenciaga, Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler trying out the look this season. Even my favourite friends ASOS and Boohoo have jumped on board with their own cheap and chic versions.

This year I rocked the trend at Magic Millions on the Gold Coast, optioning for an all white look teamed with gold accessories. This look not only stood out in the crowd but was super comfortable. Gone are the days of the dreaded skirt getting caught up in the breeze!

Whilst playing around with Culottes, I learnt these 3 tricks:

1. Emphasise your waist – tuck in a top or cinch it in at the waist with a statement belt
2. Show some skin – A sleeveless top will balance out the voluminous look below
3. Pick the right shoe – a nude or simple high heeled sandal will stop you looking stumpy!
